Gustav is making a slow exit, about to become a Tropical Storm,  as Hannah strengthens. September 1st, 2008 ·

Hurricane Gustav is now a Category 1 Hurricane, weakening rapidly but he has wind gusts of  75 mph, intermittent winds and torrential rain when the the bands come around.

There is still considerable hazard in the area from downed power lines and levees. There is still a lot of work going on by the Army corps of Engineers  with heavy equipment and and volunteers with sandbags, etc.  cooperating with local government officials.

The evacuees are wanting to come back but it could be a few days probably, partly because here is still an intense search and rescue going on for some ten thousand people who did not evacuate….Officials cite such hazards continuing at this time from such as flooding and future flooding, tornado, electrical and building failures.   Data  from CNN News P.M. Gustav is a category One Hurricane. The maximum winds are 75 mph Forward speed is near 14 mph. Direction northwest.

Here is part of a NWS Discussion from 5 P.M.  Hannah is now a Category One Hurricane with maximum winds 80 mph, 978 millobars of pressure. Located near the Bahamas, 21/8 N 72.5W.

Advisory on Hurricane GUSTAV

The outer winds from hurricane Gustav have been crashing into the southern Louisiana coast since about 3:30 A.M.  - the wee hours of September first 2008 -  but two million residents of Coastal Louisiana and New Orleans did not stick around to experience this dangerous event. In what appears to be a successful evacuation - probably the largest one in U.S. history - the whole area virtually packed up and left.

7 A.M. Update: Update: Louisiana governor says some 10,000 people did not evacuate.

Louisiana’s Governor Jindal supervised the evacuation, in which hundreds of buses were made available to those who couldn’t drive out, nursing home residents, the elderly and children, got priority.  Provisions were made for pets, unlike the Katrina evacuation.

As CNN News and the Weather channel keep an all night vigil over a deserted New Orleans the first wind gusts of 75 miles per hour winds were measured,  about 3:30  A.M.  The eye of Hurricane Gustav will not officially make landfall for awhile yet, but the local residents aren’t going to wait for him. Except for a few hundred “holdouts” who have “seen it all before and feel they can weather the storm,” the city is deserted. There is a bar in town open - and a spirit of merriment and a few people intending to wait out the storm. They were warned to leave, but authorities have not forced them to go.

Meanwhile, military Humvees and police cars are the only vehicles in sight. A few stragglers were still leaving as of 2 A.M. Central Time.  Adjacent coastal cities are nearly empty too.  A curfew is in effect.  It was announced on CNN news  that a lone OB Gyn is on duty, intending to deliver any babies who arrive this morning. News crews will take shelter soon.  ………….

The Gulf Coast awaits:  Will it be another Katrina?

Hurricane Gustav charged toward the largely deserted coast of Louisiana early Monday morning, but appeared destined to make landfall to the west of a city still recovering three years after Katrina’s devastating blow.

Those who heeded the days of warnings to get out watched from shelters and hotel rooms hundreds of miles away, praying the powerful Category 3 storm and its 115-mph winds would pass without the same deadly toll.  In all, nearly 2 million people left south Louisiana, as did tens of thousands from coastal Mississippi, Alabama and southeastern Texas.

The first part of Avebury Manor from July 15, 2008 showed our complete solar system of nine planets on an upcoming date of December 21-23, 2008, when the Mayan Long Count calendar will end. One week later on July 22, 2008, a second crop picture appeared in the same field; but no one has yet deduced the meaning of that second picture, because its symbols are so complex.

After lengthy study, it now seems that the second part was meant to tell us more about the near-future events of December 2012: not on the dates of December 21-23, but one week earlier on a new Moon of December 13. As you will see at the site, it is a beautiful formation, but we at YOWUSA have a different interpretation than the good people at CCC do.  While the CCC members see this as the moon rising close to an incoming “bright comet” on or about December 13, 2012, YOWUSA has a different interpretation.  And it has to do with Planet X and the loss of Pluto.

In Star Trek, the original series, one episode showed that the USS Enterprise, under the command of Captain James Kirk, received orders from Starfleet to take a small fleet of starships to a nearby space outpost to guard it.  The Klingons received a similar order.  But what were they guarding?  The secret of a planet whose core, mantle and inner crust was solid, virgin dilithium?  Kivas and Trillium?  A new source of unlimited energy?  No. 

They were guarding “Quatro-Triticale,” a new, highly productive strain of wheat.  Thus began the Trekkies’ indroduction to those sweet, furry and also highly productive little Tribbles. 

But Svalbard is not a space station, and it is so well-protected that no smuggler, not even the most creative Cyrano Jones, can find his or her way into it without approval.  So what are the Russians and the Canadians doing there?

Russian navy boosts combat presence in Arctic

The Russian Navy on Monday said it was boosting its combat presence in the Arctic, including near the Norwegian island of Spitsbergen, amid increased international interest in the region.

“The Russian Navy has restored the presence of combat ships of the Northern Fleet in the Arctic region, including in the region of Spitsbergen,” the Navy said in a statement.

Navy spokesman Igor Dygalo was unable to say the last time combat ships were in the region, but described the latest patrols as part of a “significant expansion of the activities of the Northern Fleet.”

So what happened to the tribbles at the end of the show?  Well, after those that remained alive showed extreme distaste for Klingons and infested the Enterprise, Engineer Scott transported them all to the departing Klingon ship, where they would “soon be no tribble at all.”

While watching Kirk getting swamped by a tidal wave of mostly dead tribbles was hilarious, I hope the Svalbard seeds fare much better than the Quatro-Triticale did.

Firefighters in a stalemate against California wildfires

Firefighters are making slow progress against more than 1,000 wildfires throughout Northern California as the region braces for more lightning storms.Authorities reported no new major fires Sunday morning and said crews had inched closer to getting some of the largest blazes surrounded.But a “red flag warning” — meaning the most extreme fire danger — was still in effect.And forecasters were predicting more thunderstorms similar to the ones that ignited hundreds of fires a week ago.The state Office of Emergency Services says the blazes have charred more than 556 square miles and destroyed more than 50 buildings.

Unfortunately, what I have to say today does not come from Hollyweird or the minds of scriptwriters.  This is what one man, the man who posted the CERNand2012 videos on YouTube, is running from right now. 

Steven Wood, who posted the CERNand2012 videos with a closeup pic of a telescope, etc., has lost his job at CERN, and now, people that I can only describe as The Powers That Be, or TPTB, are hunting him down.  He needs a safe haven, and right now, his best chance at finding one is to hide out in the open.  Right now, TPTB are in a position where, once they find him, they can either play with him a little, as a cat playes with its prey, or put him down on sight.  It’s their call.  The best we can hope to do is to make it difficult for them to carry out their plans.  However, since he put his life on the line to post these videos, the least we can do is to respond in-kind.

Four Scouts Killed When Tornado Hits Iowa Camp

Little Sioux, IA - A tornado hit a Boy Scout Camp near Little Sioux,  Iowa Wednesday night, four people were killed, dozens injured.  Little Sioux is in southern Monona County. A Boy Scout official tells Action 3 News there were 96 Boy Scouts in the camp for leadership training, the scouts are 13 - 18 years old, most are from Omaha, Council Bluffs and Bellevue. 

In an exclusive interview with Action 3 News, 18-year-old Tom White described watching the storm develop and as a funnel cloud formed, the camp sirens were activated.  White is a member of the camp staff.  He said many scouts were hurt when a fireplace collapsed………….Parents are gathering at the Community Hall in Little Sioux.  Scouts who were not injured will be reunited with their parents at the hall.  

A hotline has been set up for families; the number is 431-9272.  …..Parents needing additional information should call the Harrison County Sheriff’s office at (712)644-2244. Parents wishing to be reunited with their children are asked to go to Little Sioux. More instruction will be available there.

Governor Chet Culver is expected to be in Little Sioux early Thursday morning.  He has scheduled a news conference for 8:00 a.m.  We will carry that news conference live on Action 3 News on action3news.com.

Global Warming, the War on Terrorism, and the Extraterrestrial link to “Planet X”

Independent scholarly testimony suggests that humanity may not be getting the full truth about Global Warming. It is apparent that harmful industrial by-products associated with Greenhouse Gas emissions have contributed to a context of Global Warming. Indeed, there in no doubt that industrial toxins produced by a political economy of legitimated greed, threatens overall human quality-of-survival in a manner, that is not limited to ‘Climate Change’. But critical evidence also suggests that the re-entry of a “Planet X”, into Earth’s time-space, is creating a “gravitational” effect on Earth, that has historically manifested in Global Warming. Planet X, has been documented to be a huge “Jupiter-sized” planet, with a elliptical, rather than circular, à la all other known planets in our solar system, in its orbit.

You might also wonder, if that is the case, why the “cover-up” of the re-entry of an uninhabited planet into our solar system? Why wouldn’t governments seek to rally humanity to deal with this apparent “common threat”, together? Well, that is apparently because, “Planet X”, is not “uninhabited”. Rather, scholarly testimony suggests that Planet X is apparently also inhabited by Manipulative Extraterrestrials, that have been in turn, the subject of UFO disinformation. Apparently, Earth’s “politics” has also been corrupted by previous contacts with Planet X “emissaries”.

[Apparently from] … the research of scholars like Zecharia Sitchin, and from the representation of indigenous peoples, that “Planet X” is inhabited by a group of Manipulative Extraterrestrials. Apparently these predatory entities have opportunistically used the cataclysms that their planet has caused on Earth, to inspire organized religions. According to John Lash, and other scholars, these organized religions include ancient cults from the Mayans to Egypt; Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Dr. Lash refers to such organized religions as “doctrines of the aliens”, in his very detailed website metahistory.org.

Iceland shaken by magnitude 6.1 earthquake

REYKJAVIK, Iceland (AP) - A strong earthquake shook southern Iceland on Thursday, damaging roads and buildings and causing some injuries, officials and local media said. Channel 2 television cited civil protection authorities as saying the quake caused injuries, but it was not immediately clear how many.

Just one more indication of the approaching Planet X.

Discovery - A Mystery Object That Could Be The ‘Missing Link’ Between Stars And Planets

Two new exoplanets mean that the COROT mission(1) has now found a total of four new exoplanets in its 510 day journey. COROT started observations of its sixth star field at the beginning of May and, during this observation phase which will last 5 months, will simultaneously observe 12,000 stars.

The two new planets are gas giants of the hot Jupiter type, which orbit very close to their parent star and tend to have extensive atmospheres because heat from the nearby star gives them energy to expand. But an oddity dubbed ‘COROT-exo-3b’ has raised particular interest among astronomers. It appears to be something between a brown dwarf, a sub-stellar object without nuclear fusion at its core but with some stellar characteristics, and a planet. Its radius is too small for it to be a super-planet.

While such a planet might not have all the comforts of home, this discovery promises greater future success in finding just the right new home for humanity.  It bears continued watching.

UN sends top envoy to plead with Myanmar over aid      2 hours, 45 minutes ago

A senior U.N. envoy went to Myanmar Sunday to urge its military junta to accept more international aid for cyclone survivors, as a British minister suggested the isolationist regime may be relenting.

John Holmes, the U.N. undersecretary-general for humanitarian affairs, was greeted by Deputy Foreign Minister Kyaw Thu at the start of a three-day trip that will include a tour of the Irrawaddy delta, the area most severely hit by Cyclone Nargis on May 2-3. [There is evidence that] many of the 2.5 million survivors are living in misery — with little food, shelter, medical help, clean drinking water or sanitation.

A glimmer of hope was raised Sunday when British Foreign Office Minister for Asia Lord Malloch-Brown said Myanmar may accept a compromise, allowing Western ships to deliver aid in the country’s cyclone-hit delta region using Asian intermediaries. “I think you’re going to see quite dramatic steps by the Burmese to open up” - Lord Malloch-Brown.

A U.N. report said Saturday that emergency relief from the international community had reached an estimated 500,000 people only. [Approximately 128,000 people have perished in the cyclone and the aftermath.]

After screen-capturing shots from several of these videos and discussing the results among friends, Marshall Masters came up with three things to look for when analyzing each new video to determine whether it’s the real thing or junk.

From what I see, a lot of the hoax stuff is being generated by pranksters but a lot is also being created by operatives or at the direction of operatives. The obvious gos is to flood the genre with disreputable content and thereby exhaust public interest.

REMEMBER THE FOLLOWING THREE RULES

Rule #1 - If the poster does not give the name of the observatory or spacecraft in addition to the observation date, it is certain to be hoax.

Rule #2 - Trust your gut. I find that people instinctively sense authenticity.

Rule #3 - Monitor Popularity. Watch the view count. Hoaxes and disinformation do not get a lot of traffic, whereas disclosures that do well with the rule #2 test, will have much higher viewing rates.

Planet X researchers have to sort through many videos to get at the good stuff.  These rules will make that search much easier on your eyeballs and your sanity by cutting through the junk and getting straight to the real thing.

Myanmar’s Neighbors Plan Cyclone `Coalition of Mercy’ (Update2)   By Michael Heath and Viola Gienger

May 15 (Bloomberg) — Myanmar’s neighbors will lead a “coalition of mercy” to assist as many as 2.5 million people affected by Cyclone Nargis.

The ruling generals have told Thailand they don’t need help from international relief workers.

The 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations, which includes Myanmar, will develop an aid plan, the group’s Secretary-General Surin Pitsuwan said in Washington late yesterday. The junta doesn’t want “any experts or any team” from abroad coming into the country, Thai Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej said after he met with General Thein Sein in Myanmar yesterday.   ……

The United Nations says Myanmar’s civilians are facing a catastrophe from disease unless international aid teams are allowed into the country after the cyclone devastated the southern region 12 days ago.

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies said the death toll from the cyclone] may be as high as 127,990. 

The Irrawaddy River delta, the region hardest hit, will have intermittent torrential rain at least to the end of the week, forecaster AccuWeather.com said. Rains may bring more flooding and accelerate the spread of disease, according to the societies. …

Myanmar expressed willingness to accept a Thai medical team, comprising of 30 nurses and doctors and the team will arrive this coming Saturday.…..  .

Cayce Prophecies Alert: Upheavals In The Arctic

Two Class 4 quakes have just struck high in the Arctic at two widely separated
points. I have been watching the Arctic for some eight years. This is the
first time we have had two quakes over 4.0. You almost never even get one such quake.

To add to the interest, a Class 4 quake also struck at virtually the same time
off the coast of Oregon. Look at the triangulation on the map, it is exquisite.
I am calling this a continental class tectonic event, I don’t think these are
random discrete events. I believe that they relate directly to the past three
weeks of shape-shifting long waveforms which have been traveling through North America. It will make some time to mull this one over…

Could this be the beginnings of Edgar Cayce’s polar shifts?  If it is, do not fear, because the longer that these things take, the more likely that humanity will be to survive them.

First up, a report from Australia states that the shorebird population Down Under has decreased markedly over the last several years.

A large scale aerial survey study covering the eastern third of the continent by researchers at the University of New South Wales has identified that migratory shorebirds populations there plunged by 73 percent between 1983 and 2006, while Australia’s 15 species of resident shorebirds - such as avocets and stilts - have declined by 81 percent.

Then, a report from The San Francisco Chronicle tells us that the government has banned salmon fishing off the California coast due to a dramatic fall in salmon population.

Salmon fishing was banned along the West Coast for the first time in 160 years Thursday, a decision that is expected to have a devastating economic impact on fishermen, dozens of businesses, tourism and boating.

Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez immediately declared a commercial fishery disaster, opening the door for Congress to appropriate money for anyone who will be economically harmed.

We need to move now to conserve these species before they become totally extinct.
